Well, we've reached the important 37 week mark, the time when most babies are considered full term. Should Peanut decide to make her appearance now, all should be ok, which is quite a relief for an overly nervous pregnant woman. We went in to see the Dr. today who commented on how low Peanut was - this explains the hourly trips to the latrine. The Doc anticipates Peanut may be on the smaller size - around 5 1/2 pounds right now, and babies typically gain about a 1/2 pound a week, so that would put her around 7 pounds at the 40 week marker. No idea when she may arrive.
In preparation, we have put together our hospital bag which includes important things like socks and candy. I've made an attempt to install the car seat, though Heath informs me it's not supposed to wiggle around so I have a feeling he may be re-installing it for me. The nursery is complete and everything is in order. We have chosen a lovely girl's name and a top 4 boy's name list. All we need right now is baby.
Bring some Gatorade for recovery -and maybe a favorite extra sweater or blanket to stay warm in case you get the chills. Oh little Perry Peanut - the world is ready for you!!!
ReplyDeleteHave Heath talk to Chuck about carseats (don't get me started!)... And definitely bring some raisins, nuts, etc. for snacking post-delivery -- the meals don't come nearly frequently enough :).
ReplyDeleteYou look great. Can't wait to meet her/him!
