Chaz is our cat and we love her. Cruising through life as an indoor cat, it's no surprise that Chaz is a bit territorial about her living quarters (aka Our House). Our apprehension about how Chaz might react to a new member of the household even drove us to do some research into the topic. Suggestions varied from locking cat out of baby's bedroom to placing a netting over the baby's crib to everything will be fine as long as the cat is introduced to the scent of the baby before the baby is brought home. Not exactly a clear and concise message. In the end, we did what we do best: Nothing.
So far, so good. Our biggest fear was that Chaz would appear calm whilst harboring an inner animosity that she might unleash on Nia when we're not looking. No freddy krueger episodes yet. In fact, Chaz seems to be getting a little closer to Nia day by day, which we're hoping is a sign that she's taking a liking to the little tyke. But we're still keeping an eye on her, just in case. I mean, take a look at that photo. In her defense, I think she had just woken up, but that is one whacked-out cat!
