We've put the final touches on Peanut's "shell" so to speak and hope she will approve. Not knowing the gender makes things a bit tricky, so we've stuck with the gender neutral yellow walls and included a wide array of colors including (but not limited to) red, blue, and green. We stuck with the previously mentioned circus theme, and have heeded our friend's advice to not include "creepy clowns" (no offense to those clown loving peeps out there).
Granted, Peanut may not spend much time in here right away. We plan on keeping her in our bedroom for the first couple of months, as I refuse to walk up and down stairs 15 times day. But, there will come a time when Peanut will sleep in her own room. Ah, they grow so fast. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
