Okay okay, maybe "winter wonderland" is a stretch. But a blanket of hail is the closest thing Brooke and I have seen to the fluffy white stuff since we've been living in Austin. I'll be the first to admit I miss snow and would trade our 100 degree Augusts for shoveling a foot of snow in a heartbeat. As my good buddy Chuck says, "my people aren't built for this."
I'll hesitate to call this Nia's first official snowstorm but I think first hailstorm is still worthy of celebration. Fortunately, Aunt Melissa's package arrived earlier in the day with some gear for just such an occasion. She knit it herself. We think it's pretty darn cute.

Oh no! I didn't mean to send snow along with the unseasonal hat! She looks adorable!
