We took Nia in to see her favorite pediatrician yesterday amid concerns regarding her tendency to spit up as often as humanly possible (my current accessory of choice is a lovely white burp cloth draped over my right shoulder). Turns out, Nia may be getting a little too much of the good stuff... Let's just say, as the peditrician so eloquently put it, she's been drinking out of a fire hose instead of a garden hose. So, I shall endeavor to accept her 5 minute feedings and no longer insist that she "finish what she started."
Needless to say, Nia has started packing on the pounds and is growing like a weed. At 5 weeks she's 3 pounds over her birth weight, coming in at 9 pounds, 6 ounces and has grown 1 1/2 inches to 20 1/2. She's also beginning to sport a nice double chin - go daughter!
