It is with great pleasure that I announce what I believe is a momentous happening. As mentioned in a previous blog, our little girl has been sleeping better as of late. Placing her pack 'n play (aka crib) into my closet was indeed a terrific move. We think our baby likes her privacy and thus has been sleeping in longer increments.
Well, the unthinkable happened last night as Nia slept from around 10:45pm to 5:45am without a peep... 7 straight hours! I think this is good enough to call a full night... Sweet relief! Now, we're trying not to get too excited or ahead of ourselves, knowing that this may not happen every night...but it's hard not to.
Oh, and every night we place Nia in a tight swaddle and when she wakes up we take it off to change her. The moment the swaddle becomes, well, unswaddled, Nia raises her arms straight above her head and stretches as if to say "Hurrah!" Well Nia, today we couldn't have said it better ourselves.

ReplyDelete(i am, of course, KIDDING about the swapping babies part. but i am INCREDIBLY jealous about the sleeping. oscar's PR over his 4 months of life is still 3.5 hours, and we've only gotten that a handful of times. it's usually more like 2 hours. calgon, take me away....)
