We think Nia is one smart little cookie. She can play a mean game of peek-a-book if provoked, hiding one eye with a blanket and removing it upon hearing "where's Nia?" In addition she likes to balance toys on her head. and attempts to put them back on her head once they fall off (which looks more like her nuzzling the toy up to her forehead since she can't quite reach).
Most recently it seems she understands the word meow and has made every attempt to utter it herself, or so we think. She makes the same sweet high pitch noise whenever she sees Chaz, in an attempt to converse with her furry sibling. And just today, when given her book of kittens, she took the book, glanced at the cover, and made the same high pitched noise.
