Big Girl Chair

Our little munchkin seems to be growing and getting stronger by the day. She's able to hold her head up on her own pretty well now, which is a little confusing to mom who has become so accustomed to holding her snuggled in close to her body so that little head doesn't flop around. There have been several times when I've picked Nia up and immediately held her head to my chest, however Nia quickly shifts around so that she can free her mini mug and see her surroundings. Who can blame her? I just wonder if this is a sign of things to come - will I be "that mom" who constantly hugs and kisses her daughter, thus embarrassing her in front of her friends once she's, I don't know, 16 years old? But I digress...
Anyway, I figure, what better opportunity to show off her new mad skills than with the ever amazing bumbo chair. This handy little piece of furniture can be used once baby is able to control her head and is supposed to help baby learn how to sit up on her own. It seems she enjoys it. As I like to say to her when she sits in it "Who is the big girl? Nia's the big girl!"
